According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), corded window coverings pose a significant risk to children, causing injuries and even deaths each year.
To address this issue, starting Jun 1, 2024, the CPSC and the Window Coverings Manufacturers Association (WCMA) have revised the ANSI/WCMA A100.1 standard for child safety in window coverings to mandate that the majority of window coverings sold in the US be cordless or have short, inaccessible cords.
